At the Age of Steam Roundhouse self-motivated and enthusiastic undergraduate and graduate students can gain hands on experience by helping with a wide range of duties. Interns interested in public history, steam railroading, or physical science can build a custom experience and take advantage of opportunities to participate in all facets of the Age of Steam Roundhouse as a museum and public history site.
Interns will have opportunities to work in our restoration shop, develop and deliver interpretive programs for guided tours, gain experience with visitor services, and work with our administrative team to gain a better understanding of how public history sites operate.
Students interested in pursuing summer internships (May-August) should submit resume, cover letter, and references to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will begin accepting applications in the fall of each year for the following summer.
