Volunteer With Us

From May through October, the Age of Steam Roundhouse offers guided, walking tours of our roundhouse and restoration facilities on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 10 a.m., Noon, and 2 p.m.

To make these public programs a reality, the Age of Steam Roundhouse works to build and train a team of enthusiastic and committed volunteer tour guides and assistants. Volunteers should be passionate about the history of American railroading and/or the physical science behind the operation of steam locomotives. We’re looking for community-oriented volunteers with a lifelong love for learning who will be comfortable engaging the public by either leading or assisting tour groups. Do you love old-time trains? Then the Roundhouse would be a great place for you to become a volunteer and share your knowledge, your experience, your enthusiasm for the Golden Age of Railroads.

If you live in the local area, have access to reliable transportation, and are interested in joining the Age of Steam Roundhouse volunteer team, please contact Mr. Taylor Little at: aosroundhouse@gmail.com. Please leave a brief message outlining your interests, qualifications, experience, and your contact information.

Thank you very much for your interest in the Age of Steam Roundhouse. We hope to speak with you very soon.
